Hypermesis Gravidarum is a condition that caused me to be so sick all day every day during my first pregnancy with my son Cruz, and barely able to get out of bed. It was the hardest time of my life I felt so depressed and unable to do anything. Hypermesis Gravidarum is severe, nausea, vomitting and dizziness throughout your pregnancy. Cases can vary, in extreme cases mothers need to be hospitalised due to dehydration. Some women can experience it for the first 3 months of pregnancy but in my case I suffered with it for the full term of my pregnancy. The cause of Hypermesis Gravidarum is still unknown, however doctors believe it could be caused by the rise in hormone levels in your body.
I was constantly anxious everywhere I was not knowing whether I would throw up or not it was debilitating. My partner Jett did everything around the house cooking, cleaning, shopping while dealing with his own injuries. He never missed football training or a work commitment no matter how tired he was. He held my hand through 10 hours of labor, which after no luck, had to have a C-section. As nervous as we both were he held my hand while they wheeled me to theatre and kept me as calm as possible while we waited for the birth of our son Cruz. Jett you are such an amazing father the way you are with our son melts my heart. He is so lucky to have a father like you. I love you so much. Jett Hobbs
