"Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad." -- Anne Geddes
So fathers day is just around the corner and its one of my favourite days of the year. Father’s day is day we can honour and celebrate our fathers and devote the day to spoiling them. My father is one of my best friends he is such an incredible genuine, loving man and I just love finding the right gift for him and making the day extroadinary.
This year is extra special for my family as it is Jett my partners first fathers day. Of course Cruz is too young to get him a gift, write him a card or cook him breakfast in bed. But I will find the perfect gift for Jett from Cruz until he is able too. This year we have spoilt Jett. It is a combination of it being his first fathers day, me being a shopaholic and Jett never splurging on himself that made me go a bit nuts. We plan to spend the day as a family and have some quality time together. Nothing is better to me then spending the day with my two boys. Family is the greatest gift in the world and I cherish every moment.
A FEW OPTIONS OR THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH/FOR DAD:
- Spend the day at the Zoo
- A family BBQ (of course let dad enjoy it, not cook it)
- A meaningful card.
- Breakfast at Dads favourite cafe.
- A nice gift.
- A kind gesture. (mow the lawn, wash his car or clean the pool)
- A picnic in the park.
Below are a few ideas that come to mind when thinking of dads and what they would like. Remember it’s the thought that counts if it's not in your budget to buy your dad a gift, a meaningful card or something you create yourself is just as special.
